TTD To Distribute Crutches To Piligrims For Self-protection

Published by

During a recent meeting of the TTD High-Level Committee, significant decisions were made to address concerns related to the safety and well-being of devotees visiting the temple premises. TTD Chairman Bhumana provided insights into the discussions held and the decisions reached:

  1. Distribution of Crutches: The committee decided to provide one crutch to each devotee who walks to the temple. This crutch is intended to serve as a means of defense for devotees against potential threats, particularly in the context of recent leopard attacks.
  2. Wildlife Outpost: To enhance safety and monitor wildlife-related matters, a wildlife outpost will be established along the walkway leading to the temple. This outpost will aid in addressing any issues arising from encounters with wild animals.
  3. Restrictions for Children: Starting from 2 pm, children will not be allowed on the walkway. This measure aims to ensure the safety of children in light of potential risks.
  4. Timing for Two-wheelers: Specific time slots were established for two-wheelers to climb the hill. This decision was made to regulate traffic and enhance safety on the path.
  5. Garbage Disposal: Strict action will be taken against hotel managers who dispose of garbage improperly on the walkway. Proper waste disposal is vital for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
  6. Use of Drones: The committee agreed to utilize drones for enhancing security and surveillance in the temple premises.
  7. Fencing Considerations: Discussions were held regarding the installation of fencing on both sides of the walkway. It was noted that certain regulations imposed by the forest department might impact the feasibility of such fencing.

These decisions reflect the committee’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of devotees while also addressing environmental and wildlife-related concerns.

Implementing these measures will create a safer and more secure environment for those visiting the temple.
