ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 mission is poised for a momentous achievement as it readies for a lunar landing. After a 40-day journey, the Vikram lander is set to attempt a soft landing on the Moon at 6.04 PM IST on August 23. ISRO is all set to trigger the automatic landing sequence at 5.44 PM IST, marking a critical phase of the mission. If successful, India will join an exclusive club of countries capable of soft lunar landings, currently including the US, the Soviet Union, and China.
