100 Cr cheque in Simhachalam temple Hundi but there’s a TWIST

Published by

Temple authorities at Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Vari Devasthanam in Simhachalam were initially elated when they discovered a cheque amounting to Rs 100 crore had been deposited in one of the temple hundis. However, this elation was short-lived as officials at Kotak Bank in MVP Double Road, Visakhapatnam quickly unveiled the truth behind the deposit.

The cheque, attributed to a devotee named Boddepalli Radha Krishna, was identified during the routine counting of hundi collections on a Wednesday. Astounded by the seemingly monumental contribution, the temple staff promptly informed the temple’s Executive Officer (EO), Trinadh Rao.

Acting on his recommendation, the staff contacted bank officials to verify the transaction’s authenticity. To their astonishment, the bank authorities revealed that the account of Boddepalli Radha Krishna contained a mere balance of Rs 17.

In response to the perplexing situation, temple officials have taken a proactive approach. They are reportedly drafting a letter to the bank officials, seeking detailed address particulars of Boddepalli Radha Krishna. Furthermore, they are contemplating initiating a cheque bounce case against the devotee if his intentions behind the cheque deposit are misleading or mischievous.

More details on the same are awaited.
