After Forbes releasing the list of the billionaires in the world, one could identify that there are many industrialists and businessmen from the Telugu states too, who made it big in their trades.
The list of the Top 20 richest businessmen in the Telugu states mainly comprised pharma companies’ owners like Divis Laboratories proprietor Murali Divi and his family possessing Rs 55,700 crore. He leads the rest of the wealthy people in the Telugu states.
P. Picchi Reddy and PV Krishna Reddy of Megha Engineering stood in the second and third place respectively with 37,300 crore and 35,800 crore.
Hetero Labs, Dr Reddy’s, MSN Labs, Nuven Pharma, Natco Pharma, KIMS Hospitals, Bharat Biotech are other pharma companies which made it to the list, with their owners making good money from the business. This could probably be due to the increasing health awareness among the public post Covid.
CEOs of My Home Industries, GAR, Ramky Group, Alliance Infra, Aparna Constructions, Goldmedal Electricals also made it to the Top 20 from the Telugu states which could be indicating that the real estate business is also on the uptick. Infrastructure is also rapidly increasing in the Telugu states, except for criticism against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy that he is focusing more on the welfare schemes than development.
