A road accident that took place on the East Godavari district highway took a surprising turn when police and election officials found approximately ₹7 crore in cash amidst the wreckage.
This is nothing short of a movie scene, where an accident occurs and the cash stashed in the vehicle flies into the air. For people who are thinking that those cinematic scenes are too much of creative liberty, here’s a reality check.
The incident occurred when a Tata Ace mini goods carrier, en route from Vijayawada to Visakhapatnam, collided with a truck along the highway.
The cash, neatly packed in cardboard boxes, was discovered hidden between sacks inside the overturned vehicle.
While police apprehended the individuals associated with the transportation of these cash boxes in Ananthapalli of Nallajarla Mandal, this unexpected discovery has raised eyebrows about how much cash is flowing into the debt-ridden AP state during elections.
Well, despite all the measures being taken by the Election Commission and Police, it looks like cash flow and buying votes with money is not at all stopping in the Andhra Pradesh Elections. That’s why many activists and analysts have come to an opinion, take whatever money you want, but vote for the right candidate.
