For the last month or so, already the people of Hyderabad witnessed a huge shortage when it comes to the availability of beers in the city. Some popular brands are not available, while those available are never in a chilled state before being sold. With severe scarcity, there is a black market as well as per the reports. And now, it looks like the Revanth Reddy government is trying to bring this situation to normalcy.
Though consumption of beer during Summer is quite high in Telangana state, this year, the severe shortage of beer led to losses to the exchequer also as per reports. And now, the Telangana Government has given the nod to the popular Som Distilleries to sell beers in the state. They will be now supplying some new brands for the people of Hyderabad and Telangana.
However, critics of the Revanth Reddy government are coming strongly on him for giving a nod to new breweries and beers, like how YS Jagan did in 2019. But then, one has to see the fact that they are not creating new brands here, but only bringing already existing brands into the state.
While these brands are not like Boom Boom and President Medal which are available in Andhra Pradesh, they are the ones already popular in other states and star hotels. Let’s see how the response of the public will be like.
