One of the prove star Indian cricketer, Telugu guy, Hanuma Vihari has earlier found himself embroiled in a controversy with the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) after alleging that he was forced to resign as captain of the Andhra Ranji Trophy team due to political pressure.
Vihari claimed he was asked to step down following an incident where he allegedly shouted at a player who happened to be the son of a politician. The player in question, KN Prudhviraj, later took to social media to refute Vihari’s allegations, stating that the cricketer had used foul language and approached him aggressively.
The controversy has taken a political turn, with opposition parties like the Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena accusing the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of interfering in the ACA’s affairs. TDP leaders have alleged that Vihari was pressured by Prudhviraj’s father, a YSRCP corporator, to leave cricket altogether. While Vihari wanted to play for another Board or other state, even for that, Andhra Cricket Association hasn’t given him a No-Objection Certificate.
Now that TDP and Janasena led alliance has registered victory, even before the new government is formed, Vihari got an NOC. “I have been asking for NOC for two months and mailed them two times. But they didn’t give my NOC. Now that things have turned, they’ve issued my NOC immediately” said Vihari, sharing the NOC copy on his Twitter page.
