Payal Ghosh tenders unconditional apology to Richa Chadda before the Bombay High Court in the form of an undertaking and the suit is now disposed of. It is already known that Richa Chadda filed a defamation case against Payal Ghosh and Kamaal R Khan for pulling her name in Payal’s #Metoo allegation against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
Upon last hearing, Payal Ghosh agreed to apologize to Richa Chadda claiming her fight is with Anurag Kashyap but now with Richa. Later she took a U-turn wanting to add conditions to her ‘apology’ to Richa, for which the latter paid no heed and wanted to go ahead with her case. With no other option left in hand, Payal Ghosh tendered an ‘unconditional apology’ to Richa Chadda.
Richa Chadda’s defamation case against Payal Ghosh at Bombay High Court is withdrawn after both parties signed consent terms.
After the amicable settlement verdict is given, Taapsee tweeted a satire against Payal saying ‘Done’ in her first tweet post with an update of the disposed suit. Then she writes ‘Unconditional apology with “certain conditions” apparently . Ab kya bole behen…. but what a fight you put up’, a satire on Payal indeed.
Payal Ghosh in her latest tweets seems to be stressing on how her apology was ‘not unconditional’. Payal brings on the screenshot of a part of verdict document wherein the lines summarize to that Richa Chadda will not file any civil and criminal litigation, case, suit, complaint, or any petition against each other before any court, forum or any concerned authority of India in future in relation to the subject matter of the present suit.
Well, Payal hasn’t stopped there but has been tweeting that her amicable settlement was just a step over a pebble to move towards the main goal. For now, it looks like the matter is settled between Payal Ghosh and Richa Chadda. Payal pledges to fight till the end and we have to see what happens.
