Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore played their second game together in the current season on Sunday. The match went on an interesting mode, but in the end, Chennai Super Kings won the match by 8 wickets.
Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and opted to bat first. In the first innings, the team played 20 overs and scored 145 runs to lose 6 wickets. Virat Kohli is the only player who scored high runs from his team. Kohli scored a 50, and AB De Villiers stands next to him with a score of 39. The team struggled towards the end of the innings and failed to play some big shots. From CSK, Sam Curran bowled well. He bowled only 3 overs but took 3 wickets for the loss of 19 runs.
Chennai Super Kings’ openers have given a great start to the innings. Both Ruthuraj Gaikwad and Faf Du Plessis kept the team in a comfortable position. Later, Ambati Rayudu joined Gaikwad in scoring quick runs between the overs. In the end, Dhoni, too, joined Gaikwad, who scored his debut half-century in IPL. Gaikwad scored 65 off 51 deliveries. Rayudu scored 39 runs off 27 balls. Chahal took a wicket, and Chris Morris took a wicket. In the end, CSK scored 150 for the loss of 2 wickets.
Chennai Super Kings will play their next game against Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday. Royal Challengers will take on Mumbai Indians on Wednesday.
