IPL 2020: Mighty Mumbai Crushes Delhi Capitals

The losing streak of Delhi Capitals didn’t end yet. They have lost four games in a streak now. The latest one came against the Mumbai Indians, who won the match by nine wickets. These losses will hurt Delhi badly as they would not want to get into the playoffs with this kind of a form.

Mumbai Indians’ skipper Kieron Pollard won the toss and elected to bowl first. He got the start he wanted as Mumbai bowlers have troubled the Delhi batsmen right from the beginning. Opener Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed in the first over itself. That’s when the collapse has started and they never recovered from it. The fiery spells of Jasprit Bumrah (4-0-17-3) and Trent Boult (4-0-21-3) helped Mumbai in breaking the batting order of Delhi. Thus, Delhi ended their innings with a score of just 110 for a loss of nine wickets.

MI batsmen came into the crease with a clear mindset. They played an attacking game right from the beginning and never gave a chance for Delhi’s bowlers to take the wickets. Ishan Kishan (72*) and Quinton de Kock (26) played well and have made a partnership of 68 runs. After that, Anrich Nortje got the wicket of de Kock.

Later, Kishan completed his half-century and finished the game with support from Surya Kumar Yadav. In that way, Mumbai scored 111/1 in just 14.2 overs. Delhi Capitals will next face Royal Challengers Bangalore on November 2 and Mumbai Indians will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on November 3.
