Delhi Capitals gave yet another dismal performance which has resulted in their fourth defeat in a row. They made a mere total of 110 runs in 20 overs. The opponent Mumbai Indians chased the target in just 14.2 overs and had registered a big win on Shreyas Iyer’s men. Meanwhile, here are a few forgettable records made by Delhi in this match.
- The score of 110/9 made by Delhi Capitals is now the lowest total made by them batting full 20 overs in the history of Indian Premier League. Their previous lowest total while batting for the whole 20 overs was 114/5 against Chennai Super Kings in 2012 and 114/8 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2013.
- Shikhar Dhawan got out for a duck in this match. This is the third time he got out for a duck in this edition of IPL, which is the most by any batsman.
- Shikhar Dhawan also became the only batsman to have three ducks in a season where he scored more than one century. No other batsman in the history of T20 cricket has scored more than two ducks in a tournament where they scored more than one century.
- Dhawan now got out for a duck five times while he is playing for the Delhi franchise. Virender Sehwag (six times) is the only batsman who is ahead of him in this forgettable record.
