US: Indian Student Dead In Memphis Accident

Indian Masters students of the University of Memphis met with a car crash early Friday morning in northeast Memphis. The students are Nikith, Vandana and Pawan.

Vandana was declared dead. Pawan is in critical condition. Memphis police said officers responded just after midnight Friday to a two-vehicle wreck at National Street and Rockwood Avenue. They found three people were injured.

Vandana was rushed to Regional One Health, where is breathed her last. Nikith is being treated for the injuries.

One of the vehicles failed to yield while traveling west on Rockwood Avenue before crashing into the other car, which headed South on National Street.
