Insta reels have become a norm among youngsters right now. However, many influencers are using them in a negative way rather than using them in a positive way. Lately, we have been witnessing many influencers doing reels either to promote betting apps or throwing ‘money hunt’ challenges.
Recently, a “money hunt” video of a content creator went viral on social media. In the video, influencer Anchor Chandu aka Bhanuchander throws a Rs. 20,000 bundle in the bushes at Exit No. 09 on Hyderabad Outer Ring Road.
This resulted in many people going to the region and searching for money. This caused traffic congestion and disruption to the traffic on the ORR. Also, stopping vehicles is not advised on the ORR, which was breached due to this money hunt.
The matter was reported to the police, who took it seriously and immediately registered a case against Anchor Chandu. A case was filed under Sections 125 and 292 of Bharat Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and Section 8(1b) of the National Highway Act. He was eventually arrested by the Ghatkesar Police.
The Rachakonda Police Commissioner stated that such reckless behaviour not only puts lives in risk but also sets a negative example for others.
