US: 1300 Flights Canceled Due To Winter Storm

More than 1300 flights have been canceled across the US due to the severe winter storm.

The massive winter Storm Blair is heading east prompting the seven states to declare emergency. Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, West Virginia, Arkansas Virginia, and New Jersey have been hit hard by the storm.

Airports in Denver, Chicago, and Dallas were mainly impacted by the storm due to the freezing temperatures, freezing rain, and heavy snow. Airlines have already offered waivers and rebooking options for passengers whose travel was impacted.

The snowfall is expected to go up to 16 inches in some areas. Meteorologists opine the storm is due to a Polar Vortex. Storm Blair could result in the most significant snowfall and lowest temperatures seen since 2011.
