The auspicious Sankranti season is finally upon us. The Telugu population will be indulging in Sankranti festivities coming week, and this has mandated a customer exodus from Hyderabad.
As is the tradition, every Sankranti season, a major chunk of Hyderabad’s population is leaving the city to their hometowns primarily in Andhra Pradesh and then Telangana.
Consequently, the highways leading to Hyderabad’s outbounds are flooding with vehicles now. In particular, the Kanchikarla toll gate, the Suryapet highway, and other roads leading outside Hyderabad are witnessing high traffic.
Apparently, the toll gates at the these outbound highways are witnessing huge queues of cars and buses as Hyderabad residents are momentarily leaving the city to celebrate the festival at their hometowns.
In tune with this, the Hyderabad roads which are usually packed with high traffic are painting a different picture today with a substantial chunk of residents leaving the city momentarily.
At the same time, these very same highways and tollgates will again be flooded with incoming traffic by the end of coming week with the residents returning from their respective places.
