Infection by Coronavirus has gained momentum again and this is evident in the fact that Britain and France have imposed lockdown for a second time to avoid Covid outbreak.
Now, with other countries opting for a lockdown yet again, there arises a question if India too would reimpose a lockdown, in the wake of AIIMS Delhi Director Randeep Guleria warning that the second wave of Covid-19 has begun in the country.
There are doubts if India too would impose lockdown from November 10th. In India, however, the graph is down and there is no possibility of a lockdown.
Guleria issued the statement after witnessing a surge in the number of Corona patients across the country. He also said that negligence and air pollution would increase the infection which in turn, will lead to a rise the number of cases.
He said that people should be aware of the facts and be careful. Else, the situation would be frightening.
In the last 24 hours, India registered 46,967 new cases of Corona taking the total number of positive cases to 81,84,088. Over 475 deaths were recorded taking the toll to 1,22,116 in the country.
The number of active Coronavirus cases in the country is 5,70,462 and the number of recovered patients is 74,91,518.
Meanwhile, Satyendar Jain, Delhi Helath minister on Saturday said that as the virus has “spread” to the community, it is “impossible to eliminate the spread through a lockdown”. He said that lockdown was imposed in March as it was a new virus at that time and its behaviour too was unpredictable. Now, people have understood what lockdown meant and why was it imposed on them.
As economic factors are also considered, the state and central government can only make a decision on lockdown after the reviewing the situation.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced second lockdown in his country from November 5 and it will last till December 2. The Prime Minister said that the government will work hard to review the situation after December 2 and then take a decision.
The French government implemented a second lockdown in France starting from Thursday night.
