It is not uncommon for students appearing for examinations to have nightmares of forgetting hall tickets and reaching the exam centre very late, leading to disqualification for writing the exam.
Fearing the worst if he would be late for the examination, a student from Satara district in Maharashtra found a novel way to beat the traffic and be on time at the centre.
He paraglided to the college where the exam is being held. A video of the student’s feat is widely in circulation on social media.
The student, Samarth Mahangade, took the unusual decision to fly to his college after finding that he was running short of time to reach his destination as he was stuck in a traffic jam.
In the viral video, Samarth, a student of Pasarani village in Wai taluka, can be seen soaring through the sky with his college bag, and landing near his exam centre.
According to reports, Samarth had some personal work in Panchagani on the day of his exam and realizing that he would be caught in heavy traffic on the Wai-Panchagani road, he decided to paraglide to his exam centre.
Samarth’s decision was made a reality by adventure sports expert Govind Yewale and his team from GP Adventure in Panchagani.
They arranged the flight and ensured a safe landing near his college. Satara has captivating landscapes and is popular for paragliding but paraglding to the exam centre is an unconventional idea, which could rarely spring in one’s mind.
