Elon Musk-owned SpaceX postponed the launch of the Falcon 9 rocket from Florida just an hour before the liftoff. The rocket was carrying a crew of four astronauts who would have replaced stranded NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore.
According to the official statement released by NASA and SpaceX, today’s launch attempt of the Crew-10 mission to the International Space Station has been postponed due to a hydraulic system issue with a ground support clamp arm for the Falcon 9 rocket at Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.
Announcing the same, SpaceX tweeted,
It was later announced that NASA and SpaceX are now targeting the launch of Falcon 9 no earlier than 7:03 pm EDT (4:33 am IST) on March 14 (Friday). In its official statement, NASA said, “Mission managers met this evening and decided to wave off a launch attempt on Thursday, March 13, due to high winds and precipitation forecasted in the flight path of Dragon.”
Notably, Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore have been stranded in the International Space Station since June last year.
