Hyd: Women Jumps Off MMTS Train To Escape Rape

The number of shocking crimes against women have been on an alarming rise in recent years. Here’s one such latest development that is now grabbing everyone’s attention on social media.

Going into the story, a woman had to jump from running MMTS train in Hyderabad to Escape rape attempt from a stranger.

The victim, a 23-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after jumping from a moving MMTS train to escape a sexual assault. The incident took place near Kompally and she was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical care.

According to Secunderabad police, the woman, a native of Anantapur district, works at a private company in Medchal. She had traveled to Secunderabad on some work and boarded an MMTS train to return to Medchal which is when she boarded the women’s coach.

Two other women who were in the same coach got down at Alwal station. Shortly after, when the woman was alone in the compartment, a 25-year-old man allegedly attempted to rape her. Apparently he tried to force himself on her despite her physical efforts to keep him away.

In an effort to escape, she jumped out of the moving train near a railway bridge close to Kompally and sustained severe injuries in the process before being rushed to the hospital.

The fact that a woman had to jump from a running train to save herself from a public transport, like MMTS train service is reflecting the modern day crime scene against women.
