Shocking Report: 82% of Telugus Is Obese Or Overweight

Overweight

In this modern era, there have been several theories and reports regarding the declining fitness and medical wellness parameters. The general consensus is that the larger section of the population is unknowledgeably ignorant about their medical condition.

Proving this point, the latest report from Apollo hospitals is suggesting that 82% of the population in the Telugu state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is either suffering from obesity or overweight.

A new survey by Apollo Hospitals shows worrying health problems in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. About 82% of people are overweight or obese, and 81% have low Vitamin D levels. Many also suffer from other issues including 24% who have high blood pressure, 47% have fatty liver, and 27% are anemic.

The survey also found that 83% of people have poor flexibility, showing a lack of physical activity. Mental health is a concern too, with 7% of women and 5% of men showing signs of depression, especially those aged 40-55.

The shocking part of this is that the major majority of the population who is in the mentioned category might not even be aware of their medical condition. They might be under the false assumption that they are fit and medically healthy. But the reality is turning out to be a completely different case.
