Even after losing the Presidential polls, Donald Trump was reluctant to accept the defeat. He approached several courts in the United States against the voting and counting process. On Monday, many of Trump’s lawsuits were dismissed by respective courts and this has made Trump lose all the options before him.
Eventually Trump had to come down and decided to make way for Joe Biden who won the Presidential Elections. Today, Trump informed the General Services Administration to do what needs to be done.
“I want to thank Emily Murphy at GSA for her steadfast dedication and loyalty to our Country. She has been harassed, threatened, and abused – and I do not want to see this happen to her, her family, or employees of GSA. Our case STRONGLY continues, we will keep up the good fight, and I believe we will prevail! Nevertheless, in the best interest of our Country, I am recommending that Emily and her team do what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols, and have told my team to do the same,” tweeted Trump.
Yet Trump has not accepted the defeat to Biden and is likely to continue his fight and still believes he can prevail. Emily Murphy declared the Democrat as apparent winner on Monday in a personal letter to Biden, which is quite unusual.
On the other hand Biden is preparing his team. On Tuesday he is likely to pick his cabinet, chief of personal staff and others.
