David Warner is an Australian international cricket player who needs no introduction to the Telugu community. Leading the IPL’s Sun Risers Hyderabad team from the front, Warner made sure to attract Telugu people’s attention via his Tik Tok videos on Instagram. During the lockdown, David Warner used his Tik Tok platform and recreated some iconic moments in Telugu cinema. One of them was his dance to ‘Butta Bomma’ song, from the film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Warner, his wife Candice Warner, and their daughters did a Tik Tok video for this song. Warner entertained the Indians during the first ODI between India and Australia by shaking his leg for the same song.
The ‘Butta Bomma’ recreation resulted in Warner developing a big fan base. In the first ODI that took place today, the fans from the stands shouted, “Warner, Butta Bomma” while he was fielding at the boundary.
Warner responded to them immediately by shaking his leg for the song and recreating the popular step on the ground. It filled happiness in the fans, and the video clip is currently going viral on social media.
Sun Risers Hyderabad official Twitter handle also shared the video clip and wrote, “Place maarindi anthe, butta bomma meeda Prema maraledu. #OrangeArmy #SRH #KeepRising | @davidwarner31”
David Warner shared his happiness on Instagram for tasting victory in the first ODI. “Another great start to the series 175 run partnership to start the tone. Well played @aaronfinch5 @steve_smith49 @gmaxi_32 with all Zamps and Hoff. #india #cricket,” posted David Warner.
India vs. Australia’s second ODI is scheduled to take place at Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday.
