Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut had been very much vocal about the ongoing farmers’ protest in Delhi. She had been tweeting against the celebrities who support the farmer-protest. Kangana got into a tweet war with Dilijith Dosanjh over farmers’ protest for days. This time, the controversial actor tweeted ‘Sit down you fool’, to the world-famous pop singer Rihanna. Here’s why.
International pop star Rihanna extended her support to the farmers who have been protesting in Delhi about the agriculture laws. Tweeting a news article from CNN about the Farmers’ protest, Rihanna said, “why aren’t we talking about this?! #FarmersProtest.” The article mentioned the protest, and the internet blockade to shut the protest down. Internet services in the Delhi border areas of Singhu, Ghazipur, and Tikri were suspended on Saturday.
The tweet from Rihanna evoked applause and support responses from many celebrities, and Kangana who had been against the farmers’ protest responded to Rihanna’s tweet slamming her for supporting them. Kangana is an ardent supporter of the ruling BJP and her strong dislike for anyone who supports the farmers’ protest is well known and clearly seen through her tweets. She did the same with Rihanna’s tweet too.
Kangana Ranaut tweeted “No one is talking about it because they are not farmers they are terrorists who are trying to divide India so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like the USA… Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies.” in response to Rihanna’s tweet.
Rihanna has more than 100 million followers on Twitter.
Well, the folks on Twitter brought up how Kangana tweeted to play Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’ on Alexa, responding to a post from Femina showing Kangana’s Cannes 2019 appearance. Kangana shot back at the user in the angst saying she took the handle only in August last year and it was a team fan page before that.
