Dubai Princess Latifa Al Maktoum claims to be held hostage by her father Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in her own villa. She sent the disturbing recording out and she looked terrified as she begged for help. The videos came out after her supporters lost contact with her.
Princess Latifa AL Maktoum was seen making whispered pleas to help in a series of videos recorded on a phone. The phone was smuggled to her in her villa prison in the Kingdom, as per the support group ‘Free Latifah.’
She was seen saying, ‘I am a hostage and this villa has been converted into a jail.’ She recorded the videos in a bathroom saying that is the only room she can lock herself in. She also said there are five policemen outside and two policewomen inside the villa and she can’t even go outside to get some fresh air. Latifa also said her windows were barred shut.
Worrying about her own safety and her own life, she said ‘I don’t really know if I’m going to survive this situation. The police threatened me I will be in prison for my whole life.’ The princess of one of the 30 children of Sheikh Mohammed, the vice president and prime minister of UAE.
She was held captive from the time she tried to flee Dubai in 2018 for India in a boat.
