For the past two days, the Income Tax department raids on Bollywood actress Taapsee, director Anurag Kashyap and a few others have made it to the headlines. Last evening reports came out that the IT department unearthed manipulation of Rs 650 crore.
Amidst this, Taapsee’s boyfriend Mathias Boe took to his official Twitter handle and placed a request before union minister Kiren Rijiju to do something. Well the minister Kiren’s reply was just spot on.
“Finding myself in a bit of turmoil. Representing 🇮🇳 for the first time as a coach for some great athletes, meanwhile I-T department is raiding Taapsee’s houses back home, putting unnecessary stress on her family, especially her parents. 🤷♂️. @KirenRijiju please do something,” tweeted Mathias.
In reply Kiren wrote, “Law of the land is supreme and we must abide by that. The subject matter is beyond yours and my domain. We must stick to our professional duties in the best interest of Indian Sports.”
And frankly that’s all the union minister can do and he can’t intervene in IT department or its raids.
