BCCI announced the schedule of the Indian Premier League latest edition and the tournament kick-starts from April 9th this year. With only a few days left, there are doubts about the access to the spectators to watch the cricket in the stadium. Although it is not made official yet, we learned that the IPL officials decided not to allow the viewers in the stadium.
Talking to a sports-based news website, IPL Governing Council Chairman Brijesh Patel has confirmed the same. They decided not to allow the fans to the stadium for the entire duration of the tournament. A Governing Council meeting will be held in the next two days to ratify the decision.
There is also opposition in picking Mumbai as the venue for most of the matches and Brijesh Patel revealed that that was a difficult decision to make. He also told that they will opt for a replacement, considering any untimely emergency during the time of commencement of the tournament.
The final decision will be taken during the meeting that will be held in the next two days. The complete details will be updated soon.
