The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested five persons, supposedly linked to terrorist organisation Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), during raids conducted across 10 locations in Delhi, Karnataka and Kerala.
The investigation agency conducted the raids in connection with a new case registered two days ago, after monitoring around 6-7 people over some time.
According to a news agency, Pakistan is trying to persuade Muslim youth through social media, recruit and train them to carry out attacks in India.
Pakistan is enlisting the youth basing on their tweets and social media posts. Those degrading and maligning India’s image are being targeted to proceed with their mission.
The media wing of Pakistan’s armed forces, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), headed by Major General Asif Ghafoor, is learnt to be recruiting youths for advancing propaganda against India on social media platforms. It has reportedly recruited over 1,000 interns in a year, the news agency added.
In addition, the ISPR has also been conducting competition every month and rewarding youths whose tweets garner most retweets. The youths are rewarded with jobs and contracts in Fauzi Foundation.
According to the figures stated by the news agency, over 100,000 participants have taken part in these contests.
