After Sachin Tendulkar and Yusuf Pathan, former India and Tamil Nadu batsman S Badrinath has tested positive for the deadly virus. And today, Irfan Pathan becomes the 4th player to have contracted with the coronavirus and it is indeed happening in a shocking turn of events.

Fans are upset to find another India’s top player who played at the Road Safety World Series tournament has tested positive for Covid-19. Irfan was also in the commentary box during India vs England ODI series. Badrinath, who was the 3rd player to test positive, has also played from the India Legends team for the recently concluded Road Safety World Series.

For the unversed, India Legends had won the tournament in the finals against Sri Lanka Legends. And the tournament witnessed a vast crowd barely wearing masks and following social distancing at the stands in Raipur. In spite of BCCI closing the gates for the T20I series against England in Ahmedabad and decided to not allow spectators on the ground, the Road Safety Series continued with the mob in Raipur.

During the tournament, Sachin Tendulkar also posted a video where he is seen ridiculing the medical staff taking his Covid-19 test. He joked saying that he had undertaken 277 coronavirus tests but played only 200 Tests for India.
