However, recently the actress came into the news for all the wrong reasons. She was recently slammed on social media for supporting the new map of Nepal.
Since the last few years, there has been a border dispute between India and Nepal and things got heated up when the Foreign Minister of Nepal, Pradeep Gyawali tweeted a new map of the country of Nepal with the inclusions of Kalapani and Lipulekh, which are the disputed regions. To the same tweet of the Foreign Minister, Manisha Koirala replied by tweeting, “Thank you for keeping the dignity of our small nation..we all are looking forward for a peaceful and respectful dialogue between all three great nations now.”
A lot of Indians trolled the actress for her statement and called her traitor. They even called her ungrateful and asked her to go back to Nepal. One user even wrote how Manisha has been a traitor to the same country that gave her work and a name. So far the actress has not released a statement on the same.
