Netizens Angry Over B-town Celebs’ ‘Maldives Holidaying’

Published by

We all have been battling against the deadly coronavirus for more than a year and having a hostile encounter with mutating virus life cycle made our near futures almost bleak. Most of us are left unemployed, lost loved ones, and stuck at homes out of helplessness. Just then everything was getting back on track, the second wave of the pandemic has hit us hard and paralyzed, all over again.

As we know, the government and health experts from all over the world are advising the public to stay at home as a basic substitute to the entire lockdown. But we have a few B-town celebrities who left for the vacation and transformed the lockdown period into a recreational opportunity. However, stars leaving for holidays is created an unpleasant ambience on social media.

Netizens started trolling actors who all left to the trips, especially the recent trend of holidaying in the Maldives. They called actors insensitive towards the grim situation. Just a couple of days ago, Disha Patani and her rumoured beau, Tiger Shroff posted pictures from their Maldives trip, which is reportedly the second time the duo went to the islands in the pandemic.

Netizens loathed how celebrities updated stuff from time to time. One user’s comment in Hindi is going viral on social media and received huge appraises for speaking the truth. The person wrote – “Rich people have money and facilities which is why they are going to foreign trips effortlessly and posting pictures on social media. If you guys want to go, better leave without making a fuss, the country is already in a grim situation and you people are showing off your luxurious vacation pictures. Moreover, she did not wear the mask”.

Earlier, Tiger Shroff advised his followers to stay at home and take precautions. A user called the actor hypocrite for allegedly escaping Mumbai to avoid the ongoing restrictions and instead, relishing in surreal destinations. “I lost my respect for Tiger Shroff today,” read a comment. Apart from Tiger and Disha, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Sara Ali Khan and her family also left for the Maldives this week. A week ago, Shraddha Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor too were in the same place.
