Some incidents make us believe that humanity is gradually fading away and humans are evolving into cruel brings. In a tragic event, a 55-year-old covid-infected woman died on the road after hospital management behaved adamantly over the admission fee. The patient was made to wait as the hospital staff asked her family members to pay the money in cash.
The family went in search of an ATM nearby in the area just because the management of a hospital refused to accept online transactions. But, the woman lost her life after battling against the deadly virus. This incident in Srikakulam moved everyone and the public showed outrage at the hospital’s reckless behaviour. The patient has been identified as Anjali of Penta Agraharam near Rajam and she developed complications after getting contracted the virus.
Soon after, her family brought her to a corporate hospital in the town but the management refused to accept the fee through online and stayed stubborn on getting paid in cash form. The family members made the woman waiting in the autorickshaw and went looking for the nearest ATMs to draw cash.
When they returned, they were shocked to see that Anjali gasped for breath and died in the autorickshaw. Also, the auto driver placed her body on the road and disappeared even before the family returned. To much worse, no one came to lend a hand when the family members requested bystanders to help them to take the body.
The family members revealed that even the municipal commissioner, who was aware of the incident, did not come out and help the family. After a few minutes, a local television journalist helped the family to take the body to the crematorium. District collector J. Niwas is currently investigating the scene and inside details of the incident.
