After Pat Cummins and Brett Lee, India’s Cricket God, Sachin Tendulkar came forward to extend his support towards India’s fight against COVID-19. The latest to join the league was Afghan’s most-sought bowler, Rashid Khan. He took to Twitter saying that everyone in Afghanistan is in solidarity with India’s crisis.
Known for his wide spectrum of bowling armoury, Rashid Khan is a crowd favourite in IPL. He is a part of the SunRisers Hyderabad franchise. “Everyone back home in Afghanistan is with you INDIA in this tough time. Please, everyone, stay safe stay home maintain social distance and Wear Mask plz Folded hands #WeAreWithYouIndia,” Rashid captioned a video on Twitter.
Netizens poured in thank you messages for Rashid and the whole Afghanisthan for showing generosity in these difficult times. Earleir, Australia pacer Pat Cummins, who is currently playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, donated USD 50,000 to ‘PM Cares Fund’. Later, Brett Lee donated one Bitcoin for India’s fight against the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. Also, legend Sachin Tendulkar donated Rs one crore to ‘Mission Oxygen’ to raise funds for importing oxygen concentrators.
