Crematorium Puts “House Full” board

Published by

The enormous surge in Covid-19 infections in India has overwhelmed hospitals resulting in packed like sardines crematoriums. The heart-rendering scenes are the saddest thing we ever saw happening to the country. A vast number of families are looking for a 6 feet space to cremate their loved ones is something we cannot grieve over.

As the unprecedented sights of bodies piling up with crematoriums getting jammed, there is a picture that shows a crematorium in Karnataka’s Chamrajpet saying that it is “house full”. After getting entirely filled with overburdened bodies, the crematorium places a‘ House Full’ signboard just like how we see at theatres. This is absolutely shocking and something new that we are never willing to witness again.

Bangalore has 13 electric crematoriums in the city and due to the second wave, they are running to their fullest capacity. Thus, the Karnataka government has arranged 230 extra acres around Bangalore to Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to use it as a Covid-19 burial ground. Also, the government gave a nod to bury bodies in family-owned farms and plots.

Masks are a simple barrier to help prevent your respiratory droplets from reaching others and we want all of you to wear a mask all the time. This is one of the few solutions we are left with today. Karnataka reported more than 44k new cases today and 234 deaths in the last 24 hours.
