In yet another biggest single day spike, a record 6,767 Corona positive cases have been registered across the country within the last 24 hours. The day has also witnessed 147 deaths, as per the latest bulletin released by the Health Ministry.
With this, the total number of positive cases in India has reached 1,31,868, with 3,867 deaths. The country currently has 73,560 active cases, while 54,440 patients have recovered from the deadly virus. With health experts foreseeing a record spike throughout June, the already rising number of positive cases is posing a new challenge to the health authorities.
As per the latest updates, Maharashtra tops the list of states with highest number of positive cases with 47,190 active cases and 1,577 deaths. The southern state of Tamil Nadu has 15,512 cases, while Gujarat and Delhi have 13,664 and 12,910 active positive cases respectively.
