Published by

The entire entertainment industry is in a shutdown mode due to the ongoing pandemic in the country. All the shootings are called off. There is no sign of shoot for TV serials, feature films, OTT projects, or reality shows. But, Bigg Boss organizers for the Malayalam version flouted the COVID-19 rules by resuming the shoot. The officials received the information and seized the set. The organizers are also fined one lakh rupees.

The TV show’s set was erected in Chennai city. Season 3 was planned for over 100 days, but everyone is asked not to plan any shoots with the lockdown. A team of officials, led by Thiruvallur Revenue Divisional Officer Preethi Parkavi, reached the Bigg Boss Malayalam set at Chembarambakkam and sealed it last night.

The third season of the show marks the 95th day on Wednesday. When the raid took place, there were eight contestants. The officials registered a case under the Tamil Nadu Disaster Management Act. Upon knowing the news, there is a lot of criticism growing on the organizers on social media. Already, 6 members tested positive for the virus, but the organizers flouted the rules.

On the other hand, the Kannada version of the TV show was suspended as soon as the lockdown announcement was made. The pre-production work started for the fifth season of the TV show in Telugu and Tamil. Clarity on the same will come as soon as the situation returns to normalcy.
