In a rare sight, the denizens of Bengaluru today witnessed a rainbow-coloured halo that has encircled the Sun. Rainbow-coloured ring has been formed around the Sun. The witnesses left shocked and thrilled. This Halo around the Sun was spotted at several parts of Bengaluru city. According to reports, this was first seen at around 11 AM and it was lasted about an hour. In no time, many have taken to social media to share the pictures of Halo ring around the sun online.
Sharing the pictures of optical phenomenon, actress Samyukta Hornad wrote, “A rainbow-like halo has encircled the sun in a perfect circle right now. Call it magic, call it true 🙂 The phenomenon is called a halo n happens because of light interacting with ice crystals in the atmosphere. Owing to its radius around the sun.”
Bengaluru Central constituency MP PC Mohan too shared three photos of the “stunning sun halo” on Twitter. Netizens made a beeline to tweet the pictures of Sun Halo that delighted them in their city.
