Israel Reports Link Between Pfizer And Heart Issues In Youth

Published by

In a shocking addition to the ongoing series of novel health conditions, Israel’s Health minister stated that a bunch of heart inflammation cases have been reported among youth who were administered Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. He claimed that the condition could be linked to the vaccination. The condition is known as myocarditis and more than 275 cases of myocarditis were reported in Israel between December 2020 and May 2021 among more than 5 million vaccinated people, the ministry said.

It is believed that there is a probable connection between receiving the second dose (of Pfizer) vaccine and the appearance of myocarditis among men aged 16 to 30. Soon after, the Health Ministry is currently discussing whether to expand the inoculation drive to 12-15-year-olds, after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized its use for the age group.

What is Myocarditis:

Myocarditis is inflammation of the heart muscle (myocardium). The accuses are any viral infection is the most common cause of myocarditis. When you have one, your body produces cells to fight the virus. These cells release chemicals. If the disease-fighting cells enter your heart, some chemicals they release can inflame your heart muscle.

Some things that can cause myocarditis include:

· Coxsackie B viruses
· Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)
· Cytomegalovirus (CMV)
· Hepatitis C
· Herpes
· HIV
· Parvovirus
· Chlamydia (a common sexually transmitted disease)
· Mycoplasma (bacteria that cause lung infection)
· Streptococcal (strep) bacteria
· Staphylococcal (staph) bacteria
· Treponema (the cause of syphilis)
· Borrelia (the cause of Lyme disease )

Fungal and parasitic infections can also cause it.

Signs and Symptoms: Myocarditis often has no symptoms. In fact, most people recover and never even know they had it. If you do have symptoms, they may include:

· Shortness of breath
· Abnormal heartbeat, which causes fainting in rare cases
· Light-headedness
· A sharp or stabbing chest pain or pressure, which may spread to your neck and shoulders
· Fatigue
· Signs of infection, such as fever, muscle aches, Sore throat and Headache.
· Painful joints
· Swollen joints, legs, or neck veins
· Small amounts of urine

Currently, more than 55 per cent of Israel’s population has already been vaccinated. In the cases reported in Israel, 95 per cent of patients who experienced heart inflammation spent no longer than 4 days in the hospital as the cases were mild. However, what is concerning is that myocarditis was observed mostly among men aged 16 to 19 who were receiving the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
