Published by

The Covid-19 vaccine manufacturing companies Pfizer and Moderna said the vaccines for kids as young as 6 months old could be available soon, by the fall.

Pfizer announced that it was testing its Covid-19 vaccine in 5 to 12 year-olds. Pfizer further told that it would start testing the vaccine in infants as young as 6 months old in the next few weeks. Pfizer is on plans to apply for emergency authorization from the FDA to administer vaccines to kids.

Pfizer is expecting to submit its vaccine for children 5-to-11 for emergency authorization use by September and the shot for 6 months old to two years old by November.

On the other side, Moderna is also into similar plans and is expecting that the data will be available for the pediatric population age group in the fall.
