As we know, domestic flights have resumed in India amid the fourth lockdown and passengers have rushed to the airport to fly to their respective hometowns or workplaces. Among them, two passengers who had travelled on a SpiceJet flight from Ahmedabad to Guwahati on Monday have tested positive for Covid-19.
The spokesperson of SpiceJet said that as soon as they landed in Guwahati, the tests were conducted and the passengers were quarantined. The two passengers who were tested positive had travelled on SG-8194 (Ahmedabad-Delhi) and SG-8152 (Delhi-Guwahati) flights.
Currently, the crew members of the flights were also quarantined and SpiceJet is coordinating with government agencies in tracing out all other co-passengers who had travelled with them.
The spokesperson has confirmed that their airlines are following all the rules and social distancing norms accurately by providing face masks, face shields and sanitizers to the passengers and crew. Also, the staff onboard don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure a clean and sanitised flying experience.
