Baba Ka Dhaba owner Kanta Prasad attempted suicide and has been admitted to Safdarjung hospital. The South Delhi’s ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’ owner Kanta Prasad (80) attempted suicide after he had been depressed for the last few days, according to his wife. He is currently on ventilator support.
Kanta Prasad reportedly had taken sleeping pills and alcohol and was unconscious. A statement by his son Karan said his father was not doing well over the last few months as he was receiving abusive phone calls and people asking him to apologize after his scuffle with YouTuber Gaurav Wasan.
Last year, Kanta Prasad had lodged a complaint of cheating against YouTuber Gaurav Wasan for allegedly misappropriating money that was raised to help him and his wife. Earlier, Wasan created and shared a video of Prasad and his wife on October 7 last year to show that the couple talking about their poor business without customers. The video went super viral and many donations poured in. Later Kanta prasad complained against Wasan that he had only received only Rs 2 lakh from Wasan and also that the video has not developed his business any better but instead people are coming there just to take selfies.
Kanta Prasad couple opened a restaurant in December and had to get back to his roadside stall as the cost of running the new business was Rs 1 Lakh but the income was only Rs 30,000.
