Actor Sonu Sood have been receiving praises from all over for the noble gesture he has shown towards migrants who have been stuck in Mumbai, and surroundings.
On Saturday again, he has provided meal kits to migrants and thousands if underprivileged people in Bhiwandi area during the month of Ramadan.
Sonu collaborated with entrepreneur Neeti Goel for this Ghar Bhejo initiative and has won hearts of many.
On Sunday, talking to a leading daily, he said, “Every call that I get from a migrant who reaches his home safely is my biggest award. Thank god I have received these awards in thousands.”
Previously, he donated over 1,500 PPE kits to doctors in Punjab. In the last month, post lockdown, he has provided his Mumbai hotel as accommodation for frontline healthcare workers.
Cabinet Minister Smriti Irani tweeted, “I’ve had the privilege of knowing you as a professional colleague for over 2 decades now @SonuSood & celebrated your rise as an actor ;but the kindness you have displayed in these challenging times makes me prouder still thank you for helping those in need.” (sic)
Sonu has even said that he believes god wants him to do the best he can to all those in need.
