A 73-year-old British man died after severe turbulence on a London to Singapore flight. He had a heart condition. He was traveling with his wife and she was taken to the hospital.
The flight was diverted to Bangkok and made an emergency landing. The flight was carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew.
The passengers who were not wearing seatbelts got head injuries after a sudden ‘dramatic’ drop. The flight reportedly dropped for a few seconds. 18 passengers were taken to hospital. Seven people are in critical condition.
Another Singapore Airlines plane traveling from Bangkok carried some passengers from SQ321 who were not injured and wanted to continue with their journey to Singapore.
