In what can be a remarkable and laudable move, the Andhra Pradesh state government has decided to give vaccines for free for all those between 18 and 45 years. On Friday Jagan held a review meeting on Covid-19 situation in the state with ministers and health department officials. During this meeting, Jagan asked ministers and officials’ opinion on distributing vaccines at free of cost. In the meeting, he has decided to offer vaccines for free.

Post the Centre announcing the vaccine to all above 18 years, AP government expressed its disappointment off the record. A few ministers commented that it would put nearly Rs 3000 crore burden on the exchequer of the state government.
AP CM Jagan has directed the officials to make necessary arrangements as the vaccination for people between 18 to 45 is going to begin in the third phase of the vaccination drive starting from May 1st.
