The outgoing President of the Telugu Film Producers Council, C Kalyan, is not taking the upcoming elections to the council on a lighter note as he joined the race of contesting as President again. This time, he made allegations that some powerful people from the ‘Guild’ are actually trying to take over the Council for their selfish reasons.
A letter sent by C Kalyan and Prasanna Kumar stated that they are not accusing the whole Guild members but talking about a few powerful producers who are never interested in the welfare of other producers but only in their business dealings and profits. They accused that these ‘Guild’ producers first formed LLP and earned a huge commission through the ads given to TVs and Papers, and then after eating the money, they formed Guild. Now, the same group is said to have formed the Progressive Producers Council to lure the members of the Council to vote for them.
Well, all said and done many could understand at whom Kalyan is making these allegations. But then, to date, the members of the Guild haven’t taken the elections seriously, and we have to see what the Feb 19th election is going to be like. Meanwhile, top producers like Dil Raju and Damodhar (Damu) from Guild are contesting in the election.
