Naatu Naatu already won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original song defeating contenders like Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga. It also won the Critics Choice award for the best song.
Naatu Naatu was earlier performed by the original singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kala Bhairava while a group of dancers performed it on stage. The song received a standing ovation from the audience at the Oscars.
