Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the leading lady of the upcoming film Shakuntalam, has been feeling under the weather lately. Despite being excited to promote her film and interact with her fans, Samantha caught a fever that left her feeling unwell.
The film Shakuntalam, directed by Gunasekhar, is set to release on April 14, and the team has been busy with promotional activities. However, due to her ill health, Samantha was unable to attend the final leg of promotions in Delhi. The director confirmed that Samantha is suffering from high fever and has lost her voice, making it impossible for her to attend any public events.
It is no secret that Samantha is a hardworking actor who is always dedicated to her craft. She had been eagerly looking forward to promoting Shakuntalam and was disappointed when she had to miss out on it.
She took to Twitter to express her feelings, saying, “I was really excited to be amongst you all this week promoting my film and soaking in your love. Unfortunately, the hectic schedules and promotions have taken its toll, and I am down with a fever and have lost my voice.”
Despite her absence, the makers of Shakuntalam are holding a special screening of the film for top BJP leaders, including the party chief JP Nadda. Producer Dil Raju will be attending the screening on behalf of the team.
