The recent announcement of the 69th National Film Awards triggered a discussion amongst the film industry folks and the general audience. While Allu Arjun won the award in the Best Actor category it was a celebration in the film industry but actor Nani’s tweet has become a point of discussion.
Nani expressed his disappointment for the jury ignoring Suriya’s Jai Bhim. The general perspective of Nani expressing his dissatisfaction over snubbing Jai Bhim is being attributed to him ‘not celebrating Allu Arjun’s win’.
For those who understand, they are both mutually exclusive and it is after all Nani’s opinion about one film, Jai Bhim. Meanwhile, during the SIIMA awards press meet, actor Daggubati Rana was asked about Nani’s tweet.
Rana Daggubati is a mature man and he gave a gentle reply that made things very clear to the person who asked it. When the journo asked why ‘Nani criticized Allu Arjun’s win for ‘best actor’ while Jai Bhim is a movie and they both are two different categories. Is it due to the competition between you all?’ Rana replied, ‘Each one is entitled to their opinion. I might like a movie, you might like something else. It is the same with the artists. It is not about a person. Many of us thought that Jai Bhim should win more accolades and it did not. It is not about ‘Why Allu Arjun won?’
‘That will never be a controversy. The artists just tweet but it is all of you who make it into a controversy. Amongst us nothing is a controversy’, said Rana. Another question still insists on the same topic recalling Balayya and Ram pothineni’s words during the Skanda event, Rana ridicules it just as an assumption of the person asking. Everybody here has an opinion. There is a saying in English about opinions and I can’t say it here. ‘
Well, Rana’s subtle clarification on general assumptions is winning the internet. This video has now become viral mainly due to how Rana made it clear about ‘opinion’ and ‘controversy’.
