13 Minutes Removed From ‘Family Star’ After Censor

Vijay Devarakonda’s reunion with his “Geetha Govindam” director Parasuram director is coming to theatres tomorrow in the form of “Family Star”. The film has Mrunal Thakur in the lead, and was censored a couple of days ago, with the Censor Board asking the makers to cut down the ‘cuss words’. Here comes another interesting observation.

In fact, the censored version of “Family Star” is 163 minutes long, but the team has announced that the final version in theatres is only 150 minutes long. Looks like, even after the Censor, the film’s producer Dil Raju and his director Parasuram felt that there is 13 minutes of movie that could be easily chopped out, and as they wanted to give an emotional experience to the audience, they chopped that out.

Also, Dil Raju is said to have taken the feedback of the test audience with this new 150-minute edition of “Family Star”, and as the response is terrific, he wantsFamily Star to go ahead with the release. Otherwise, he would have easily chopped out a few more minutes, a couple of scenes maybe, say sources.
