Indian-based Hollywood actress Priyanka Chopra acted in Amazon Prime Video’s high-budget action thriller series, Citadel last year. It was backed by Avengers: End Game’s directors, the Russo Brothers. Recently, the Indian version of this Citadel Universe was released, featuring Varun Dhawan and Samantha in the lead roles. Raj and DK directed the project. Both series were well-received by the audience.
For the last few days, audiences who watched both series wondered whether makers are in plans of combining these both worlds in a single series. Now, Priyanka Chopra dropped a new poster of the Citadel Universe, hinting at the possible collaboration of characters from both series.
Sharing this poster, Priyanka wrote, “I was brought onto the journey of Citadel early 2018 by @jennifersalke , before I was even married. Feels like so long ago! But I’ll never forget being mesmerized by the ambition of the show. To actually connect the world together through storytelling.”
“Now, to finally see the world of Citadel, expanding as originally conceptualized so many years ago, is so gratifying. To have such talented filmmakers from around the world create stories that are global but also local and at the same time interconnected, is very cool. I’m so grateful to be on this journey with all the incredible cast and crew from around the world.. here’s to much more to come,” she added.
With Priyanka’s post, Citadel fans are now eagerly anticipating the announcement of the new season, featuring all Citadel characters. We have to see if the makers come up with such an announcement in the coming days.
