The Indian Tokyo Olympic contingent received a special invitation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for personal interaction on August 15th, in New Delhi. PM Modi will meet the Indian contingent as special guests at the Red Fort on the occasion of Independence Day.

“On 15th August, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will invite the entire Indian Olympics contingent to the Red Fort as special guests. He will also personally meet and interact with all of them around that time,” read a tweet from the official handle of the popular media agency ANI.

It is certainly a great honor to all the athletics to attend the flag hoisting ceremony at the Red Fort as special guests.

India is yet to lose hopes on the medals as the Women’s Hockey Team is still in the contest. The wrestlers are also throwing some hope at bringing medals home. So far, Mirabai Chanu bagged a silver medal and PV Sindhu bagged a Bronze medal.
